Calculation of the Extended Producer Responsibility afterwards
Last week we had a discussion with the government about the changes in the Extended Producer Responsibility.
In the official document it is stated that already by 2022 it must be reported which plastic products or products with plastic/plastic have been produced or imported. Based on the these figures tht will be shared by all producers and the government’ its own research, the government will determine the percentages that must be paid.
The Extended Producer Responsibility obligation will then take effect on 1 Jan 2023, so the UPV must be paid in September 2024 for 2023. The calculation of the contributions in 2023 is a test calculation to give producers an idea of the costs involved. The contributions for the year 2023 will be published in June 2024.
Please note: the calculation is therefore always afterwards. This must be taken into account from 1 January 2023.
